Atletas em Acao/Eagles Soccer team

These are the girls playing for the AeA professional soccer team in Praia Grande Big Beach. they have been practicing for a couple of weeks now. Everything is going great with the girls. God is providing day by day. Fernando on our staff is leading up this team. He is looking for companies to be involved here to help with the team's expenses. Pray for this team and that God would use them greatly. The main emphasis is the discipleship of these girls. We went to visit them last week. Rebeca sure enjoys the beach!!!

Basketball Teams 2009

These are the kids that are involved in the program here in Brazil. this is the outdoor coutr where they practice. It is a little club with soccer fields and a swimming pool which the kids get to use on Wednesdays. Rogerio and the kids go every morning at 7:30 to practice they do all different kinds of things each morning. The practice is from 8-10. Some days they run, swim, study, play basketball. I admire my husband so much because he is so faithful to God and this program. His prayer is always that God will change these kids life. He goes in the afternoos then to have pracitice with the older boys. These are the younger boys with Timothy. Priscila helps with this team

These are the girls. Jessica and Stephanie play on this team. They are the youngest but do a good job. Simone helps with this team. Both Simone and Priscila are in college and have scholarships with AIA. Many people are involved in paying their tuition for them to get to help Rogerio. They do an excellent job. This year Simone has an academic scholarship which helps pay for her college too.

The little guy with the broken arm Mateus is the best player. He does not miss a practice. Our prayer is that these little kids will know what it is to have a personal relationship with Chirst and not just have a religion. Most of them would say that they are Catholic.

Girls and Boy Games

Rogerio took the girls and boys younger basketball teams to play scrimmage games with the team in the two cities close to us. Rogerio kids are in the white shirts with Atletas em Acao written on them. They had lots of fun. For some of them it was their first basketball game. These were the first games of the season to get them going. Rogerio enjoys his time to spend with all of them. All four Soares kids are playing but I really can not find them in the pictures. R

Jessica helping Tiago

These are the secret pictures that Stephanie took of Jessica helping Tiago with his reading. Tiago he does not like them because it makes him look like a baby. Sometimes it is not easy to let yourself be helped by your brother or sister. Prayerfully they will all learn that it is a great thing to have others care about you and help you.

Rebeca 10 months old

Rebeca is now 10 months old. She is everywhere. She loves Lady our dog, water and the rocks so this is the first place she goes when we go outside. She is standing up by herself. She loves the old Wiggles, Barney, Bible Kid's Songs tapes that we saved. Jessica took care of her for a whole day under Rogerio's supervision but she does a excellent job. Stephanie can make her laugh so much. Her favorite place to be is in the boys room playing in the box of cars.
