Family Pictures in Piracicaba

We all were in Piracicaba, a city about 45 minutes from our house, today renewing all the kids passports. Thankfully we had appointments, we had all the documents that we needed and the Ferderal Police was on schedule so it went very smoothly. We were in and out in 45 minutes. Rogerio and I have spent many hours waiting in lines for passpots, visas, greeen cards and all the paperwork that comes from a couple with two nationalities and children that have double citzenship. One more thing is checked off the list of things to do before the trip to the US.
Timothy was so funny today because he was so excited about giving his fingerprints. He is now 12 so they take them.

Beach-Praia Grande

This is Praia Grande. The four kids got to spend four days with our friends and AIA staff that live there. Two of their best friends live there Timoteo and Victoria. We went down to pick them up and spent the day at the beach. Even though it is winter here it was a nice day. I could never get warm so wore a sweat shirt but the kids were not cold and were in and out of the water. Thank you Rosalie and Debora for taking care of the kids. They had the best time. We were all sitting around finishing our lunch. Suddenly a big wave came in and washed up all the way passed us. Thankful all the cameras were up on the table and did not get wet.

The girls had the best time playing with a wet towel. You never know what will entertain them!!

They were burying everyone in a hole. Everyone loved it except Rebeca! You will see her picture.

The two sister playing. Rebeca was here with me for four days by herself. She was so lonely and did not know what to do without all her brothers and sister.

Girls at Simone Cowboy Dance

We all went to see Simone present a dance at her college. She is a very talent young girl and does a great job at all she does.

At the Regionnal Tournament

We are heading off to the boys 1st boys game. Some of the girls are dressed up crazy because it is their first year to go to the games. Thankfully I had been to the regional games before with one of the professional teams that I played on 20 years ago!!
Simone practicing for the game. Simone is sporting her new Nike shoes that were given by Tracy the assistant coach on the AIA women's team. Thank you Tracy this was a huge gift for Simone. Some of the other girls left their shoes too and the girls used them this week in the games. Shoes are very expensive here so they are quite a gift.

Three of the younger girls had to dress up for one of the games of the tournament.

Here is the Sumare/AeA team

Gold Medal Team

Here is our AeA team after we recieved the gold medal. We won the tournament that we played in in June. We played for a city called Sumare. Two of the girls that played with us are not in the picture. They came to play with us from Sao Paulo. Our team consisted of a 40 year old me and Tais and Ana Paula who are 15 and 14. Stephanie was our water girl, Jessica stayed with Rebeca and Timothy was filming the games. All were involved. This was the first time that I play on team that Rogerio was the coach. He did a great job motivating and keeping us all going. I hate to say that I was not in the best of shape to play in two hard games of basketball but fun to play with all the girls.

Family at Tournament

This is all of us at Jogos Regionals Regional Game. Rogerio had a girls and boys team playing. It was great for ministry with the kids and with other teams that were at the tournment.

Rogerio's Boys Team

This is Rogerio's boys team that playd in the tournament in June. They won one of the three games. Most of these boys have practiced with Rogerio for three or more years. The teams all sleep in a school on matresses on the floor. Rogerio is a good sport he is in there with them. The kids and I all stay at a friends house.

Cool Rebeca

Rebeca is hanging out with everyone. During the first of June Rebeca had the worst case of chicken pox. You can still see some of the spots. I think this day she is finally feeling better! Tiago got it to for about a day. He broke out with spots and then they dried up the next day thank God.

USA AIA Basketball Team

This is the special group of girls that spent 10 days with us here in Brazil. Thank you girls for all you work here. You were awesome!
