The Pumpkin Patch Parable at Brazilian school
Here I am with Priscila sharing the Pumpkin Patch Parable. I am the farmer and the kids are all at my pumpkin patch. I have one real pumpkin and the rest are paper. You will notice too that my pumpkin is very green and little orange but can not be picky here.
I had five classes to share the story with so instead of cutting five pumpkins we cut out the pumpkin the first time and then put the pieces back into it and the inside too. It made it very easy

Soares Family on Saturday Afternoons
On Saturday afternoons about 3pm we all are at the club for basketball. The little kids all come and play a while. Then about 5pm the older kids and some other older players come for English classes. Then the older kids play basketball for a couple hours. Some Saturdays we have other games or activities!
These are some of the olders boys helping. Timothy is always willing to be around and help.
Girl's Team
This is Stephanie and Jessica's little team that had their first game the other day. Some new girls that we get to ministry to and share Jesus' love with. We are all excited to have some new girls involved but none of them know how to play basketball. Rogerio is lucky to have his teo daughters and Tais one of the older girls that helped him during this game. Jessica is number 8 and Stephanie number 5

Priscila and Simone what a blessing they are to the ministry and the kids!
As the day began here are the kids that were there. Then more kept coming durig the ret of the day.
Here was the group that Jessica and Stephanie were in. Tais as their leader and she did awonderful job. Tais starting playing basketball when she was about Stephanie age 10 and has been with us ever since. She is getting ready to finish high school in December. She is praying to go to college. We would love to be able to give her a scholarship to go. She would help Rogerio with the basketball during the day and go to college at night.

Ping Pong
We made a great purchase the other day! We found this ping pong net that will stretch over any table any size. Our group had great fun playing Tuesday night after our Chilren's day activity. We had a simple tournament and Otavio with the broken wrist won!! It was cold outside so we used our table inside insead of oe of the outside tables.

Tiago at School
Here is Tiago at school. He is working hard learning to read and write in Portugues. I think he finds it easier then English! The words are said and written like they sound. Tiago has a wonderful Christian teacher who is a blessing in a really hard class with many disobedient boys. Tiago and I pray for her everyday! Tiago's teacher Isabel reminds me of Linda Young from Geneva Tiago's teacher last year in the US. We are so thankful for these two special teachers and the work they are doing or did with Tiago, a little boy that would much rather be playing sports then studying.
