Today the kids from the basketball program had a surprise BBQ for us. In the end I was the only one that was surprised the kids and Rogerio all knew. It was a great BBQ lunch. The kids had brought all the meat and food and then one of the grandma's made a delicous chocolate cake for us. Tais one of the older girls gave a little speech. It was a special day. On days like today we are reminded why we are here. We wish everyone that is involved in supporting this program could be here on day like today. Kids lives are being changed. Many people make it possible for us to be here investing in these kid's lives. There were lots of hugs and tears as goodbyes were said at the end. There were about 30 of the kids present and a few parents. Thank you Simone and Priscila for planning this lunch for us! We leave for the US in 3 more days.
